Who is it for? The AstroGrav software is ideally suited for astronomers, researchers, teachers, students, and anyone else who is interested in astronomy, the evolution of gravitational systems, and the way objects move and interact under the force of gravity.
What is it good for? The AstroGrav astronomy software will help you calculate the gravitational interactions between astronomical bodies and create accurate, interactive 3D simulations.

Speaking about simulations, AstroGrav comes bundled with multiple sample simulations. Download and install AstroGrav, launch the application, and you will be invited to create a new simulation or open an existing one. Choose to open an existing one and you will be presented with all the sample simulations that come bundled with AstroGrav. It must be mentioned here that these sample simulations are also available for download on AstroGrav.co.uk.

I jumped ahead and skipped the part where I am supposed to tell you that AstroGrav is available for Microsoft’s Windows operating system and it is also available for Apple’s Mac OS X.
The system requirements for running AstroGrav on a Windows PC are: 1Ghz processor or better; at least 512MB of RAM (1GB or more recommended); 200MB of free disk space (1GB recommended); 800 x 600 screen resolution (1024 x 768 recommended); any Windows edition from Windows 2000 and XP up to Windows 7 and 8.

AstroGrav is free to use for a trial period of 15 days. A prompt will show up every time you launch AstroGrav and tell you how many days are left in your trial. As expected, this prompt will also invite you to purchase a license.

I am not an astronomy buff. Still, the AstroGrav solar system simulator managed to impress me!

Pros

AstroGrav is available for Windows and Mac; the system requirements for running AstroGrav on a PC or a Mac are quite low. AstroGrav comes bundled with multiple sample simulations; said simulations are also available for download on AstroGrav’s official website. Use AstroGrav and its large range of features to create stunning simulations.

Cons

Trial limitations: 15-day trial, nag screen.
